South Park Pulls Upset Over Undefeated Quinn Construction
South Park knocked off Quinn Construction 7-4 in a game which all the runs were scored in the first 3 innings. Quinn opened the game with 2 in the first as Cory Humphreys scuffled through 2 walks and three hits. South Park answered back with 3 in the bottom of the first with 5 hits and 3 runs off of Quinn starter Jim Pasquine. A couple of Quinn miscues and a huge Nick Arnoni double led to a 4 run second for the Park squad. A South Park throwing error and an Anthony Girdano sac fly put 2 more on the board for Quinn in the top of the 3rd and that would be it for the scoring. Cory Humphreys then gave way to reliever Matt Mish who worked 4 scoreless innings allowing just one hit in earning the save. Carter Grote, Arnoni, Dylan Pounds and Ryan Dodson all had two hits in South Park's 5th consecutive win. Tarran Senay led Quinn Construction with 2 hits, including a double and Tommy Pasinski reached base 3 times on walks. The win allowed South Park to earn a season series split with Quinn Construction.
