Heat lose after getting out on top.
Heat put up 5 runs in the first to a tough team from Michigan that took down Team Athletic Republic to win the Michigan Major Elite NIT. The Hit Dogs battled back and took advantage of a bad home run call by an umpire looking the other way, when the ball rolled under a temporary fence. The runs would have scored either way after there was a base hit following the ground rule double ruled a homerun, but the momentum change was a big factor. The Heat did battle back with the go ahead run at the plate in the top of the sixth, but couldn't pull off the comeback. Good game either way!
