Tough Loss in semifinal game!
The team played a tough game, and made it exciting at the end. The game was a little sloppy, but the pitchers pitched pretty well. The most of the runs were due to passed balls. We have to work on the catchers keeping the ball in front of them. New Lenox is a good, well coached team, but just like the Plainfield Raiders, this team is not better than the Heat, just brought more to the field than we did. Overall, we finished in the top 4 out of 12 teams, and all of the coaches were proud of the team. We over-achieved in some areas, and under-achieved in others, giving us added incentive and more concise information where to focus in practice. One thing is for sure, we have to throw slower in BP, because our boys have more trouble with slow pitchers than fast!!!
