Patriots Blank Yanks for 9th Straight
The Patriots shut out the Yankees 5-0 for their 9th consecutive win and their 3rd shut out in a row. Mikey Campos pitched a complete game 4-hitter with seven k's keeping the Pats in the game till the bats came alive in the 5th. Monchi Quintero and Armando Gonzalez were both 2-2 at the plate. Quintero drove in the 1st run of the contest, followed by 3 straight triples by Campos, Gonzalez and catcher Jose Alvarado. Gonzalez and SS David Villa were the defensive players of the game. The Pats (12-4) have given up just 1-run in the last 4 games.
