Win Streak Hits 12
Monchi Quintero yielded just 1-unearned run on 2 hits and struck out 10, leading the Patriots to their 12th straight win at Tamiami. The 3-1 victory over the Miami Stings kept the Patriots in 1st place with a 15-4 record. With the game scoreless in the 5th, David Villa led off the inning with a double to center and later scored the game's 1st run on Quintero's sac fly. Mikey Campos went 2-2, stole 2 bases and scored a run to lead the offense. The Pats also got key hits from 1B Armando Gonzalez and catchers Wilfredo Navarro and Jose Alvarado.
