The Biohazards would go ahead with Chris Ypsilantis from Joe Greco on an odd man rush, then double the lead with Greco from Ypsilantis, after Ypsilantis sped down the right wing, initially receiving the puck from Sean "Babyface" Feeney. Now up 2-0, the Biohazards would continue to press, and extend their lead with Greg "Turn Down for What" Ternlund, on a one-timer from Ypsilantis, who had a hand in all three Biohazards goals. Holy Book Hockey would wake up and get on the board when a fantastic finish by Steve Nierenberg from the high slot, after David Ferrara would execute a juke past a Biohazard, would go in, but the Biohazards would cancel that out when Babyface teed off from Matt Grunenthal. Now 4-1, the Biohazards kept going and would be up 5-1 when Greco from Ypsilantis closed out the first period, which was dominated by the Biohazards, who would also lead on shots 16-9. The Biohazards would begin the second peiod with a pretty play when Ypsilantis would whack in a rebound after Grunenthal fired on target, but Holy Book Hockey would pull that back with Dan Halleran from Scott Sullivan, on a laser of a slap shot. The Biohazards would bring it to 7-2 when Grunenthal would get into the goal column from Big Ted Ypsilantis, who performed a bank pass to Grunenthal, who would deke a few times and tuck in just inside the post, but Holy Book Captain Dan Ford would cap the second period's scoring with a goal from around the top of the circle, and it was 7-3 going into the third period. If Holy Book was to get anything out of this game, they would have to figure out a way to get more pucks on net, as they were being outshot 38-17 after two periods. Clawing closer, Holy Book Hockey would bang in another, with Halleran's rocket from Pete "Swaggy P" Haglund assisting. Holy Book Hockey, all of a sudden, went from seemingly out of it, to down three with all the momentum, but this would be quelled when Big Ted from Babyface would be next for the Biohazards. At 8-4 down Holy Book Hockey would have to work some magic to get anything out of this game, and would give themselves some hope when Chris Devlin would park himself in the back door and guide in a pass from Swaggy P. Again a three goal difference, the game was at a potential turning point and it would be either a Biohazards win or Holy Book getting closer; the Biohazards would put the game away with Babyface's goal for 9-5, although Halleran would complete his hat trick to make the final scoreline 9-6 Biohazards, who would outshoot Holy Book Hockey, racking up the shots, 53-29. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Chris Ypsilantis (2G, 3A).
