Due to each team clogging the neutral zone, the first period would not see much action, as it would finish at six shots for Team ODIN, and four for Minotaur. The second period would open up a bit, starting with a cross ice home run pass by Andy "The Grizzly" Bear, which would lead Darrell Blackbourn, who would deke from left to right, onto his forehand, and lift puck into the roof of the net, for 1-0 Minotaur. Minotaur would double their advantage when Jeff Dugan would score from The Grizzly Bear, but Team ODIN would finally get on the board with Captain Jason Fischbach from Jeff "Lamb Chop" Lamborn and Ryan Bolton. It would appear that it would go into the third period at 2-1 Minotaur, but they would have other ideas, and score late when Blackbourn would finish from Brendan Breheny and Bill James. Now 3-1, the second period buzzer would hit, and Minotaur would go into the third with that cushion, although Team ODIN would be leading on shots at 17-12. The goalies, Kevin Kobilinski of Minotaur and Tyler Morris of Team ODIN would be having great performances, and the quality of the game reflected that. But Blackbourn would complete his hat trick from Dugan for 4-1, seemingly putting it out of reach for the Danger Zoners. But Team ODIN would have other ideas and when recent signing Nichelle Simon would find Fischbach, who would sneak out of his defensive zone and would catch Simon's pass and deke to his forehand, pulling his team closer. Now down 4-2, Team ODIN would be within striking distance, and pull Morris for the extra skater. But instead of at least halving their deficit, ODIN would concede when Blackbourn poured in his fourth goal of the night, an empty netter, for a 5-2 Minotaur win. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Darrell Blackbourn (4G).
