The Vudoos would draw first blood when Mike "Mikey Jr." Cenatiempo, Jr. would finish from Mike Sr. on a deke after a fantastic build up. The Sewer Rats wouldn't be down for long because Boris Raizberg would answer with a wrister from just the high slot, then Darren Kamikura would assist Greg "The Spider" Webster for 2-1, as the Sewer Rats would leapfrog the Vudoos. The final action of the first period would be Pat Vogt unassisted, doubling the Sewer Rats' lead, which be 3-1 going into the second period, also leading on shots at 10-6. Mikey Jr. would return the favor to Mike Sr. when he would set up the big man with a great spot pass, which Mike Sr. whacked in on a one-timer, to halve the Vudoos' deficit which was now 3-2. After lots of even play, the Sewer Rats would eventually peel off another two goal lead, this time when Pat Vogt would hit Boris Raizberg, who would park himself in front of the Vudoos' net and tap in, after a tape-to-tape pass. At 4-2, that was all for the second period, which would end with the Sewer Rats still ahead on shots, now at 22-15. The third period would begin with the Vudoos inching closer through Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse, scoring a goal from Antonio Figueroa, in his return to the PTAHL. Now 4-3, the Vudoos would be on the front foot, but would be pipped at the other end by Eric Vogt, who brought it to 5-3, then when Ivan Tukhtin would add another for 6-3, which would hold for the final, with the final shots tally at Sewer Rats 26, Vudoos 24. Boris Raziberg (2G) and (1G, 1A) Pat Vogt won the Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award.
