The Tusks and Flaming Dragon II would meet in their first ever matchup, with the Tusks sporting newly arrived jerseys. Both teams would have some early opportunities, but so far, Carter Siani of the Tusks and Mark Kulbida of Flaming Dragon II would not yield. That would change when Nick Aloise would circle around the Flaming Dragon net and feed Captain Matt "Sly" Fox, who would snipe with his wrister into the top corner over Kulbida's glove, for 1-0. Another Tusks goal would come, this time when Fox would finish from Ryan "Smash" Adams and Anthony "The Fireball" Inverno, doubling their lead, which would hold at 2-0 at the end of the first period. The first period shot totals were 9-4 in favor of the Tusks. The second period would begin with a pair of goals by Adam Sklar, both times when he was the trailer, firing home with is wrister, from Erich Polak and The Fireball. After Sklar's tallies, the Tusks would further ratchet up their attack with a goal by The Fireball on a slap shot from an acute angle after Polak led him with a pass in the neutral zone. Down 5-0, with a late period goal, Flaming Dragon II would cut into their deficit when Captain Steve "Ozzy" Osvold would wrist high on the left wing, his off wing. But an even later period goal by Aloise from Robert Neuwirth would pull that goal back for the Tusks, who would lead 6-1 going into third, and 20-11 on shots. In the third period, Flaming Dragon II had an early opportunity with Jake "The Snake" Worby, but he was denied with a great pad save by Carter Siani, which would spring a Tusks attack by The Fireball, who would fly down the ice and let off a scorching wrister for 7-1, and an assist for his goalie. After more Tusks pressure, they would go 8-1 up on a 2-on-1 which would end on Aloise's tap in from Polak. Neuwirth would fire off a blistering low slap shot which would hit the post and bounce right to Fox, who would then complete his hat trick with a slap shot of his own, Polak would add to his four assists with a goal, and it was now 10-1, which would be the final. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Anthony Inverno (2G, 3A), Erich Polak (1G, 4A), Matt "Sly" Fox (3G), and Nick Aloise (2G, 1A).
