The first half of the first period would see a dazzling display of goaltending by Matt Rovetto of the Biohazards, and PTAHL debutante, Ian Lynch of Lux Interior. Both would make quality saves, first Rovetto when he would stone former New York Yankee, Shayne Spencer, then when Lynch would dive and deny Victoria Rompilla, with a last ditch pad save. Up and down it would continue between these two likely championship contenders, the Biohazards would light the lamp first, with Greg "Turn Down for What" Ternlund, on a rebound after Lynch made an impressive save on a slap shot through traffic from the point by Matt Grunenthal. The next goal would again be for the Biohazards, when Grunenthal followed his assist with a goal, deking and going high with his forehand for 2-0, which would hold going into the second period. Leading on shots at 8-7, but down by two, Lux Interior knew they would have to quickly figure something out, and what better way than with a fiery pep talk by Captain Rich Parks, who demanded better from his crew, illustrating a more robust forecheck for the start of the period. That forecheck would immediately pay off, when 58 seconds in, Spencer "The Truth" Truesdell would halve the Lux Interior deficit with a laser of a wrist shot into the top corner. More Lux Interior pressure would come, which would result in another goal, this time Mike "Eye of The" Tyburski from Doug "No Fly" Kramer after Kramer circled the Biohazards' net and hit Tyburski on the back door. Now level, the fruits of Parks' game plan would continue to be bared when, after the Biohazards were scrambling in their own zone, Ternlund would have to go off for a hold. During the power play, Lux Interior would set up an umbrella and work the puck with precision; eventually they would find a shooting lane, and it would be Spencer who would tee off just inside the blue line on a one-timer from The Truth, which would free Ternlund from the box, and make it 3-2. The Lux Interior attack would continue and result in a 4-2 cushion when Tyburski would finish on an odd-man rush from Christian Hoffman, as the stunned Biohazards would now be the team down two. A late period respite by Sean "Babyface" Feeney when Martin Rabe would lead him with a pass for a breakaway, would possibly give the Biohazards a bit of momentum heading into the third period, which would be in favor of Lux Interior, 4-3. A dominant period by Lux Interior, they would outshoot the Biohazards 12-5, bringing the totals to 20-12. The third period would begin with Spencer from Darren "Grizzard" Grzyb for 5-3, and on the other end, Lynch would buckle down and preserve his team's two goal lead. The Biohazards would ratchet up the attack, but this would result in them getting pinged the other way, when The Truth would add his second goal on the night to his team's total, then add his second assist when Nudo would go low. It was now 7-3, which would be good for a Lux Interior win, outshooting the Biohazards 30-17, with Spencer "The Truth" Truesdell (2G, 2A) winning the Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award.
