The Hooligans would begin well with a Mike Dillon goal through the five hole. But from there the Vudoos would have total control through the second intermission, which would begin on a Rob Coffman slap shot from the blue line that would hit the target through the five hole. James Woods-Corwin would follow this with a breakaway goal when he would lift a backhand into the roof of the net, and with only nine seconds left in the first period, Coffman would bring it to 3-1 with a breakaway goal of his own on a lovely deke. The Vudoos would continue their strong performance when Mike Cenatiempo would finish on a no look pass from John Rosalie after Rosalie's impressive stick handling, then the Vudoos would go 5-1 up with Mike "Mikey Jr." Cenatiempo Jr. on a one-timer from Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse. One more second period Vudoos goal would come int he form of Ziesse from Coffman and Rosalie, and it would be 6-1 at the intermission. Peter Peterson would stop all eight Vudoos shots this period, now with 19 saves on 20 shots. The Vudoos had 23 shots to the Hooligans' 20, but the Rioters would open up the third period with a goal by Chris Gallo. Unwilling to let the Hooligans come any closer, any time asked, Peterson would meet the call for the remainder of the period, all while the lead would be extended to 7-2 with Mike Cenatiempo from Rosalie, and 8-2 with Pat Trayford from Coffman. 8-2 would be the final, and the Vudoos would finish ahead on shots at 33-23 as the Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Rob Coffman (2G, 2A), and Pete Peterson (2GA, 21 saves).
