The Brewers would strike first when Adam Sklar won an offensive zone faceoff to Captain Greg Shiff, who would one-time in with a wrister. Cory Rothlisberger would level it for Minotaur when he would fire in after gaining the blue line, which would be the final goal of the first period. Entering the second period, the shots were 7-6 Brewers, but it would be Minotaur who would go ahead when Mitch Handler would go high from Bill James. The top notch goaltending would continue as Kevin Kobilinksi of Minotaur and Colin Riedel of the Brewers would keep up their high level of play. But when it would appear that Minotaur would go into the third period ahead, the Brewers would equalize with Greg "Turn Down for What" Ternlund from Shiff. The shot totals would now be 16-13 Minotaur, who would have a power play after a trip to Riedel, which would be served by Shiff. While short handed, Adam Sklar would bring the puck down the right wing and let off a wrister into the top corner. Now ahead 3-2, and at even strength, the Brewers would attempt to double their advantage to 4-2, but instead Minotaur would bring the game to another deadlock, when Parker Gowan teed off from Jeff Dugan. Andy "The Grizzly" Bear would pull Minotaur in front after a fantastic juke in the neutral zone before speeding to the slot for 4-3. Sklar wasn't done with his pinpoint accurate goals, and would again hit the top corner, this time for 4-4, but Minotaur would reply with another Handler goal, this one unassisted. Now a 5-4 game, the Brewers would pull Riedel for an extra skater, but would instead be hit with a length of the ice empty net goal by Dugan, which would make it 6-4, and hold for the final. The final shot totals were 27-20 Minotaur. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Mitch Handler (2G).
