The first period would be all Team ODIN, who would sprint out to a 2-0 lead, after Chris Ostapiuk would finish from Chris Taormina, and with Brian "The Salamander" Salvesen from Jonathan Weinstein. The first period shot totals would be 12-10 ODIN, who would be backboned by Tyler Morris and his stellar play in net. The Swarm would begin the secondnperiod with a goal by Steve Norman, when he would elude Morris with a high wrister from Frank "The Tank" Bason and Steve Romanoa, but ODIN would crack the Swarm with a power play goal by Devin Long (after a hook to Beuk Forrest) from Ostapiuk, and it would now be 3-1. ODIN would appear to be going into the third period up by margin, but with 23 seconds on the clock, would add another on a pretty play by Weinstein and Ostapiuk, which would result in a Matt "Strawberry Milk" Skjeie goal, and it would go into the third att 4-1 ODIN, who would also lead on shots at 23-20. The Swarm would be in need of a huge comeback if they were to get anything out of this game, but first they would need an uptick in play, which they would get when Alex Borowick would fire a puck low and into the back of the net for 4-2. Leading by example, Swarm Captain Patrick Stehn would halve his crew's deficit, with a laser from Skyler "H To The" Izzo and Borowick, galvanizing the Swarm into more offensive play. The further increase in offense which followed, would force ODIN into a tripping penalty, Alec Antunes the culprit, and the Swarm would make ODIN pay with a Nick Volonnino slapper from the point when Borowick would perfectly feed him, and all of a sudden, the ODIN lead which would once be three, would now be gone, at 4-4. The Swarm would then jump in front with H To The Izzo on an odd-man rush from Romano when they would criss-cross, and now the Swarm would have their first lead of the night, 5-4. ODIN, apparently shell-shocked, wouldn't muster much as the Swarm would see out their 5-4 lead to the finish line, coming back to win after a three goal third period comeback and outshooting ODIN 34-31, which would also result in Alex Borowick (1G, 3A) winning the Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award.
