The Archers would come out of the gate and fire the game's first six shots on target, but Mat Laskowski would be up to the tasks, keeping his Rodent pals from falling behind. The Sewer Rats would finally generate a shot of their own, which would be met with the pad of Tyler Armstrong, but the Archers would get the next shot, for the first goal of the game when Ryan Schmitz would dash down the left wing and wrist in. The Archers would end the first period ahead 1-0 and 9-5 on shots. The second period would begin with an Archers goal on their first shot, by Greg "The Chairman" Chierchie from Nichelle Simon. Itching for the next goal, the Sewer Rats would get it when Darren Kamikura would be led by Ivan Tukhtin, resulting in Kamikura sprinting by the Archers' defense, cutting in, and going high for 2-1. The Archers would cancel out Kamikura's goal with Captain Jason Fischbach from Josh "Sumo" Sumoski, and it would now be 3-1 Archers. The Sewer Rats, would be unwilling to go into the third period down tow, and wouldn't, when Kamikura would make another daring run down the ice, going down the right wing, and again lifting the puck in after a deke. At 3-2 Archers, that would be the scoreline going into the third period, with the Archers now leading on shots at 19-16. Two quick third period goals by the Archers, first Sumo on a tip after Mindy "The Dragon" Drexel played a D-to-D pass along the blue line to Jason Fischbach, who would slap from the point, then Sumo from Fischbach on an odd man rush, would bring it to 5-2. The Danger Zoners would suck the life out of the remainder of the game and cruise to a victory, although Kamikura would complete his hat trick along the way, but 5-3 it would finish, and the Archers would go home happy. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Josh Sumoski (2G, 1A), and Jason Fischbach (1G, 2A).
