The first period would not have much action, just six shots for the Bulldogs, and one for the Hooligans. The Bulldogs would come out of the intermission right where they left off, with a rush by Steve Parry from Jonathan Greenspan; Parry would come down the right wing, and cut into the middle where he would fire in. A quick response from the Hooligans would come when Dylan Jones would one-time from Joe Hutchison, who would initially receive the puck from Big Mike Leong. After the Hooligans would attempt another one-timer, Parry would intercept and lead Stephen Mancuso with a breakout pass for a breakaway, and the Bulldogs would be ahead 2-1. That would be all for the second period with the shot totals at Bulldogs 13, Hooligans, 9. The goalies, Joseph Ursino of the Bulldogs and James Coughlin of the Hooligans would continue their great play, but eventually the Hooligans would equalize with Joe Hutchison unassisted on a scramble in front of the net. The Bulldogs would go in front for the third time, this time with Justin Letizia from Anthony Ursino and Captain Alex "Sputnik" Sinelnikov. Now down one with the clock dwindling, the Hooligans would attack with more fervor, especially after pulling Coughlin for the extra attacker. It would pay off when Davey Leong would finish from Zach Milos, and overtime would now be needed to decide a winner. Joseph Ursino of the Bulldogs and James Coughlin of the Hooligans would continue to dazzle patrolling the crease, but it would be the Bulldogs who would win it with Letizia from Parry, 4-3 in overtime. The Bulldogs would outshoot the Hooligans 21-20. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Stephen Parry (1G, 2A), and Justin Letizia (2G).
