Holy Book Hockey would jump out to a quick lead through the snipe of Chris Devlin, but after receiving a puck from Adam "Manhandle" Crandall, Ethan Lim would fire a slap shot from the point, which would be deflected in by Big Tony Gesumaria, the Pterodactyls' Captain. Now 1-1, that would be the scoreline going into the first intermission, with the shots 10-5 Holy Book Hockey. The second period would be bossed by the Bookkepers, who would go ahead with Captain Dan Ford on a laser when he would cross the blue line, then go 3-1 up with Danny "The Man" Manzo from Andrew Molesky. Dan The Man would then add another when Mike "Merf Dog" Merfert would help, and it would be 4-1 Holy Book, who didn't only display their offensive firepower, but would also demonstrate their robust goaltending with Eric Brozek, who would stop all 13 Pterodactyl shots this period. Brozek's fine play would ensure his team would go into the third period up 4-1, even though they would be outshot 13-10 in that period, but would lead overall in the shots department, 20-18. The third period would be more Holy Book, who would enjoy a 5-1 cushion after Merf Dog's goal. While the Pterodactyls would pull that goal back through Adam "Manhandle" Crandall, Holy Book would cancel that out and then some with Pete "Swaggy P" Haglund unassisted, and Ford from Swaggy P. Now 7-2, Holy Book would keep it going and have an 8-2 advantage when Rich "The Barber" Barbiera would go low, but a Pterodactyls goal by Zach "Zacharoni and Cheese" Zakolski from Adam "APA Format" Paradise-Asher and Manhandle Crandall would make it 8-3. The final goal of the game would be Devlin's hat trick goal from Dan The Man Manzo, in what would be a 9-3 Holy Book Hockey win. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Danny "The Man" Manzo (3G), and Pete "Swaggy P" Swaglund (1G, 2A).
