With an early goal by Pat Perez, from Christian Solis after an excellent feed, Green Brook would go ahead. A hook to Tom "Don" Dwan would mean a Green Brook power play, and they would make it count with a goal by Milton Solis, who would fire a laser low. At 2-0 Green Brook, Nuno Costa would hold it down and keep Lux Interior off the board, and it would go into the second period at that scoreline. The first period shot totals would be 8-7 Green Brook. The second period would begin with Spencer "The Truth" Truesdell's high finish from Kevin "The 77 Train" Tucker, on an odd-man rush after The 77 Train's fantastic pass, but a quick response by Pat Perez would negate that, now 3-1 Green Brook. Just eight second after Perez's goal, Christian Solis would win the ensuing faceoff, and Joe Patrick would gobble up the puck and sprint into the offensive zone, where he execute a gorgeous backhand, under the crossbar, for 4-1. Lux Interior would go into the third period down by that scoreline, but would now lead on shots at 19-16, still unable to do much damage to Costa. The third period would begin with another quick Patrick goal off a faceoff, when he would make it 5-1, only 11 seconds in. Lux Interior would then go shorthanded with another hook to Don Dwan, but this time it would be Lux Interior who would score while he would be in the box; The Truth would rush in on a breakaway and deke to his backhand, pulling Lux closer, now down 5-2. Patrick would continue his fine game, with an assist on Christian Solis' goal, for 6-2, which would be the final in a robust Green Brook win in which Joe Patrick (2G, 1A), and Nuno Costa (25/27 saves) won the Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award.
