Joe Hutchison on a lovely deke would put the Hooligans ahead, but Phil Karnicki would retaliate for the Bulldogs with a deke of his own, for 1-1. The Hooligans would go up 2-1 with Ryan Jones unassisted, then Dylan Jones would add a goal for 3-1 going into the second period. The first period shot totals would be 15 all, as James Coughlin of the Hooligans and Joseph Ursino of the Bulldogs would rack up the saves. The second period would begin with a fantastic give-and-go by Colin McMullen and Anthony Ursino; McMullen would play the puck to Ursino, who would intelligently park himself in the corner, then fire a pass back to McMullen after McMullen would dart to the slot for a one-timer. Now down 3-2, the Bulldogs would attack more, but Coughlin wouldn't yield another this period. Instead, the Hooligans would finish with two consecutive goals: Ryan Jones from Big Davey Leong, and Dylan Jones unassisted. At the conclusion of the period, the Hooligans would lead 5-2 on goals, and 29-25 on shots. At the start of the third period, the Bulldogs would have to fend off a Hooligans attack, which Joseph Ursino would handle exemplary with a pad save. He would be rewarded for his play with a goal by Steve Parry, and it would now be 5-3. The Bulldogs would then halve their deficit with an Anthony Ursino goal, and all of a sudden, it was a one goal game which could go either way. But the Hooligans would bounce back with Big Davey Leong unassisted, for some breathing space, and a 6-4 lead. That 6-4 scoreline would hold for the final, while the Hooligans would outshoot the Bulldogs 40-32. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match was won by Ryan Jones and Dylan Jones (both with 2G), and Big Davey Leong (1G, 1A).
