Dynamo would begin well, when Brock Forrest would assist their first goal, then score their second goal. The Tusks would fire back with Robert Neuwirth unassisted, but Brock would add another goal for 3-1 Dynamo. The next Dynamo goal would be Greg Bowers from Brock, but the final goal of the first period would be Neuwirth from Matt "Sly" Fox, and it would now be 4-2 Dynamo going into the second period. Dynamo would lead on shots 18-11. The second period would see the Tusks level it after a pair of goals: Nick Aloise from Neuwirth and Anthony "The Inferno" Inverno, and The Inferno unassisted. From there, it would appear as if it could go either way, but Dynamo would pour in more goals with a pair by Brock: The first goal would be on a breakaway and a fantastic finish, and the second on a one-timer from Greg Bowers. The next Dynamo goal would be on an assist by Brock, but Nick Aloise from The Inferno would bring the Tusks to down 7-5. The second period would end with another Dynamo goal assisted by Brock, and it would go into the third at 8-5 Dynamo, who would lead on shots at 36-23. With an early third period goal, Dynamo would extend their lead, and it would now be 9-5. The Tusks would then mount a furious comeback, starting with Aloise from Sly Fox and Inferno, and with Aliose's hat trick goal from Sly Fox. Now only down two, Inferno would pull the Tusks to down 9-8, all of a sudden putting a game which would seem over, now in the balance. The Tusks would press for the equalizer, nearly getting it, but would fall just short, by that 9-8 scoreline. The final shot totals would be Dynamo 58, Tusks 43. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Brock Forrest (4G, 4A).
