Lux Interior and the Pterodactyls would play a scoreless first period, which would be facilitated by the play of Lux fill-in netminder James Coughlin and Pterodactyls goalie Jeff Leidner. The first period shot totals would be 14-9 in favor of Lux Interior, but goals would finally come in the second period, when Mike "Eye of The" Tyburski would live up to his nickname and fire a seeing eye laser into the top corner, for 1-0 Lux. The next Lux Interior goal would be Kevin "The 77 Train" Tucker, on a lovely deke which would finish on his backhand, and at 2-0, Lux Interior would go ahead by that margin, now leading on shots at 25-15. Early in the third period, Eye of The Tyburski would add another, this time on a wrap around, and the other Lux scorer, The 77 Train, would also match his teammate, now on two goals apiece, for 4-0 Lux. If the Pterodactyls would have any hope, they would have to work fast, and Adam "Manhandle" Crandall would be the man to do that, pulling back a goal for the Flying Fossils. But Lux Interior would quickly cancel this out, when The 77 Train would assist one of his Lux buds, and it would now be 5-1. The flurry of third period goals would continue with Big Tony Gesumaria from Chris LaTourette and Manhandle, but Lux Interior would cap off a win with the game's final two goals: Tyburski for his hat trick and then one more for good measure, to finish with four on the night, for a 7-2 scoreline in favor of Lux Interior. The final shot totals would be 37-23 Lux Interior. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Kevin "Eye of The" Tyburski (4G), and Kevin "The 77 Train" Tucker (2G, 1A).
