Captain Fischbach and Dachshund Star for Archers
The Archers and Hooligans, when this one would conclude, could be as close as one point apart, or as many as seven. Wanting to trim that gap, the Archers would go ahead with Captain Jason Fischbach;s swashbuckling coast-to-coast finish, carving up the Hooligans; defense in the process. Fischbach would then add to his point total when he would assist Michael "The Dachshund" Malarowski, who would go high on an odd-man rush. Now 2-0 Archers, they would go into the second period ahead by the margin, with the shots level at 10-10.

Ben Gregory, filling in for Tyler Armstrong between the pipes, would so far be perfect, and would maintain his form in the second period, with another perfect period, frustrating the Hooligans at every turn. His play would be rewarded with another Dachshund goal from Fischbach, when the Dachshund would astutely sneak out of the defensive zone and be led with a tape-to-tape pass, covering around 80 feet, by his Captain. The Dachshund would then do the rest, deking and roofing for 3-0, as the Danger Zoners would go into the third period with the game firmly in their control, also leading on shots at 20-19.

When the third period would begin, the Hooligans would not have much in their favor, but they would pull back a goal through the hard work of Joe Hutchison from Ryan Jones and Mike Leong. But that goal would be canceled out with a Fischbach goal from the Dachshund, as the two would continue to pair up and damage the Hooligans. Now 4-1, it would either be now or never for the Rioters, although they would narrow their deficit with Big Dave Leong from Big Davey Leong, for 4-2. The Hooligans would then go on a power play after Jason Fischbach's hook, and they would make it count when Robert Friedman would hit the back of the net from the point. All of a sudden it would now be a one goal game, and the Hooligans would be on the front foot; they would press for the equalizer, but would come up just short as the Archers would hang on for a 4-3 win.

There is now one point separating these two in the standings, 18 for the Hooligans and 17 for the Archers, after this potential playoff preview.

The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Jason Fischbach (2G, 2A), and Michael "The Dachshund" Malarowski (2G, 1A).
