Flaming Dragon II would boss the first period to about as good of an extent as they could have hoped, which would begin on a high goal by Steve "Ozzy" Osvold from Ernie "Big Ern" Park, after a fantastic saucer pass by Big Ern for Ozzy. Dragon would then fill the net more, when Sean "Heinz 57" Rappleyea would dash down the ice for an unassisted goal, before Ozzy would be on the end of a great setup by Heinz 57 and Andrew "Lil 'Drew" Park, for 3-0. Ozzy would follow this with his hat trick goal from Big Ern, and the first period scoring would be rounded out by Heinz 57 from Ozzy, for a 5-0 Dragon lead, who would also lead on shots 14-7. The second period would be a much more even affair, which would begin on a Bobby Inman hold, and the Tusks would have to go down a man. But it would be the Tusks who would score while Inman would be in the box, with Erich Polak from Robert Neuwirth, but Ozzy's power play goal from Lil 'Drew would cancel that out, and it would now be 6-1. Neuwirth's unassisted goal for 6-2, and Heinz 57's hat trick goal for 7-2 would cap off the second period summary, and the shot totals would now be 27-19 Dragon. The third period would begin when Polak would pip back a goal from Nick Aloise. Now 7-3, the alternating goal trend that began in the second period would continue when Lil' Drew would go low for the eighth Dragon goal, and when Polak would complete his hat trick from Inman for 8-4. The game would conclude with not much more action, but the Tusks would beat the buzzer with Inman from Neuwirth and Polak, which would bring the final scoreline closer, for an 8-5 Flaming Dragon II win. The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Steve "Ozzy" Osvold (4G, 1A), and Sean "Heinz 57" Rappleyea (3G, 1A).
