I hope this reaches whomever it does in good spirits and in good health! Stay warm during this 2nd round of winter of lockdown. Remember, I know this is hard, but we will not be isolated for the rest of our days! Stay sharp and fit. Read, write, keep busy and create hobbies if yours cannot be fulfilled in the moment! Think outside the box! Just some of my two cents LOL! I hope to see all the new additions and families of my childhood friends in the rink at the soonest possibility! I made lifelong memories with so many of unforgettable people right here, at Winding River Park. Growing up off of Oakridge Pkwy, well, besides passing the rink daily on the road, it was a huge part of my life and always will have a special place in my heart! When this pandemic is finally sustained, I believe we should all support this small business who kept me (I can’t speak for everyone but your picking up what I’m putting down) busy during cold winters, taught me how to skate with wonderful coaches, and distinctive family vibe the nostalgia smells like hot chocolate and churros guys! The owners and staff had always been positive and helpful even as an adult bringing my child in! Support small business & Support our freedom to skate! PS I’m currently seeking a a BlackHawk league for my 13 yr old son, but it seems this is unfortunately unavailable. That said— I am still, in the search of an adult league for my fiancé, whom also, grew up skating, and playing hockey, right here at Winding River! Clicking link to travel team site I saw linked on the site, maybe that’ll get me some answers. Until then! Miss you Winding River Skate Park and can’t wait to get back in the rink!
