A lot of people asking already for both. Sign up anytime through there. Also, there has been a lot of requests for extra fall jerseys. I'll leave the link up for a few weeks. If anyone wants an extra one or one from another team, you can click the link and order it. They will probably be delivered around the end of October. |

Having said that I have never seen this league being ran with more heart and selflessness than it is/has been by skip and his supporting cast in my opinion. He truly cares about this league and the people in it. Gives it his all with little or nothing in return but grief. Carver is one of the best softball leagues around cause of the work that is done by skip and the others(Billy, D.J., Brad,etc) |

He spends a fair amount of time organizing the league, helping prepare the fields, being present at the fields for most games, and most likely getting little or NO MONEY for his "job". Yet, you all come on here and try to discredit his intentions, take away some wins for his team, and question every decision he does as you feel as if it is not fair for your team. How simplistic is your brain? Who else would step up and run this league if Not Skip?? Others have tried and failed. You should be grateful you have a league, fields to play on, and one to organize this mayhem. Are you grown adults, or crying juveniles? Step up and try to run the league for a year and see if you can handle it. See how you handle the complaints and requests. Step right up and place your name to take his job...If not, shut up and Pitch! |
| Skip September 6, 2017 8:11:23 PM Entry ID: 2085381 | I'm sorry if you're not a fan of fall, but you're facts are incorrect. #1 the summer doesn't start any earlier than it did before fall came. Season always starts as early as the weather and easter allows us. The 1 o'clock games aren't intended to "shave" a week of the season. The fact is that we play 9 games every week, that leaves us with 7 games left to play. It's not really fair for umps to come for 1 or 2 games. We thought we could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Add a "prime time" game on the front field(giving teams an extra game there and 1 less at purchase) and it would get rid of the partial week. Once again, it was brought up for a vote at the reps meeting and all the reps said to keep the ONE 1 o'clock game. Fall starts when it starts. It's a 6 week season. We've finished after Thanksgiving before, no big deal. |

FALL BALL........Ever since fall ball has been around this ORIGINAL SUMMER LEAGUE has taken a beating. Season starts early cause it interferes with when FALL BALL starts. Rainouts CAN'T happen because it interferes with when FALL BALL starts. These stupid double headers with 1pm games happen to help shave a week of because of....you guess it....FALL BALL. 1pm games are awful. Fuck fall ball. Who cares when it starts and who cares when it ends cause it doesn't matter. CMSL SUMMER is what originated first. Don't short change the boys of summer for the blue balls of fall. |

The tester was away being calibrated for 2 months. It wouldn't be fair for all the teams in the league to start testing now. The only "agenda" I had was playing. The back field was playable after some work, the front wasn't. Sorry if it was bad judgement to try and play. If the front was the only field able to be played on, we would have played both there and nobody would have said a word. Johnny you absolutely have thanked me in the past and offered to help out, I was just speaking on yesterdays fiasco. |

As for the tournament, Im sure this tournament has special meaning to the people playing in it and I don't argue that. Did anyone ever think to discuss that with our team ? You know, the possibility of that conflicting with the championship ? So to assume we would want to take a forfeit is hearsay. Im sure we would of postpone a week. I for sure wouldn't want to win the championship by forfeit. I would want you to have everyone on your team there to play, and I mean EVERYONE ! Also, you could of cancelled yesterday ( no one would of questioned it ) then you wouldn't have had to play with 9 guys. Other than that , Ill see you guys next week. |

If they're legit no one should have any issues with it. As far as playing both on the back it was the only option, and Jonny as far as just playing 1 that's retarded! Yes we have a golf outing that has been going on in this league probably before you were in it! Do you really want to take a forfeit in the championship? We had a chance to get 2 games in so we did it. We played with fucking 9 guys for Christ sake with me and Bobby Orr having to play the infield! |

Something all teams should be allowed to do. unfortunately dictators call it complaining. This could of all been avoided if the commissioner just cancelled the game just like you canceled on an 80F and sunny day earlier this year because you were missing guys or even give us options. However it wasn't in his agenda yesterday.. Considering that the shamrocks have a bunch of guys committed to a golf tournament in two weeks. meaning if we had cancelled yesterday games, games 3 and 4 would of been in jeopardy of having all your 'good players' there. But that wasn't the case. Instead you saw an opportunity in having two games on the back field. I dont give a flying fuck if we had won both games there. Thats not the point, the point is that we chose to play on the front field for at least the first game, and that was taken away from us. Not even a discussion about it, it was dictated that we were playing both on the back. If the front was a mess, then maybe the league reps could of went there earlier and got it ready or just cancel the games or even play one on the back, but none of those were an option. Now we only get one game next week on the A, whats the point of having a top seed ? As for matty showing up and bringing 'shavers' that is laughable. considering he's the only one swinging his bats. So try again. As a commissioner your job is to serve in the best interest of the league, not your team. That is a total conflict of interest. so expect backlash when you start to dictate how you're going to do things. A thank you ? I told you time and time again, its a thankless job. I dont complain about how you run the league, but yesterday should of been handled differently. Next time consult with the other team before you start to make decisions based off of what your team want and not whats right for the league. As one ump said to me , that we want to finish the season because of fall ball. Not mine or anyone who paid to play summer leagues problem. Verbatim, we will start fallball once the finals are over.
