| Quote From Roberto on the OLD BRD website! August 26, 2011 10:22:03 PM Entry ID: 1909165 | "I just want to say we all played great in the tournament..Big daddy Cass was solid..winning the majority of faceoffs he took..He play's up front and on D..I ask u is there a more valuable plyer on the BRD..The Duke what else can I say he plays with the heart the size of well him..he is a team player and finally got rewarded with an MVD..Ike well Ike is by far the vocal leader of the BRD,and he backs it up on the floor.also he has a nice piece of dog..Paul by far was a factor rushing the ball, and not letting anyone even get close to scotty..as far as Mike goes i have never seen anyone with more control of his stick and more awareness of the floor than him...Then there is Scotty..I ask all of u who would u rather have in the net in a big game than this guy..he always plays balls to the wall..Walter has so much talent even i get fired up over it..That goal he scored in the championship was hug as well as one of the best goals i have seen in a long time..Johnny Serino was huge..That is the best weekend performance I hav seen in a long time..I have played With john for like 10 years,ad I can't picture not having him on the BRD..As far as bobby goes I said it before and i will say it again who is better in front of the net than him...No one...Del is heart and soul..his speed and energy is a great pick me up for the whole team..When I play with Bobby and Del..I have a great time and that is what it is all about..Plus there was no answer for us in the tournament..As far as I go I try to make a few plays here and there..Coach Patch well he is a clown, but without him playing hockey with my friends wouldn't be possible..We are a close team and that's why we play like a team..Well now all we need is to have the Dizzo lay with us next tournament and that will be nice...all in all good job guys." |

| None August 3, 2011 10:39:14 AM Entry ID: 1903428 | In 1970 Raymond W. Leclerc created the No Bounce Orange Ball. These balls are partially filled with liquid, which reduces bouncing.[2] With the success of the widely-used orange ball for street hockey, many different color varieties have been introduced, such as yellow, red, pink, and even a glow in the dark ball. Several ball manufacturers now market the balls with the temperature range the ball was designed for on the packaging itself. Although there is no certified industry standard for the balls since no street hockey standards organization exists, all hockey ball manufacturers sell their balls according to the following temperature range: red/orange = hot/warm above 60 degrees, pink = cool - between 40-60 degrees, yellow = cold - below 40 degrees.[3] A tennis ball or whiffle ball can also be used as an alternative to the orange ball for street hockey, as it is much softer than the orange ball, therefore reducing the risk of injury. The International Street and Ball Hockey Federation officially recognizes two types of ball for play: a hard (Pro) version for adult warm climate play and a soft (Street) version for non-summer play and younger youth age groups.[4] |
