POST 102 JUNIOR/SENIOR MEETING SUNDAY MAY 4th 3pm

There will be a Post 102 Redbirds Junior/Senior meeting  Sunday, May 4, 2025 3pm @ the Ahoskie American Legion Building on 116 N. McGlohon Street, Ahoskie NC. New players should bring a copy of their birth certificate, drivers license or learners permit. A parent or guardian needs to attend as we will discuss the upcoming coming season and all paper work will be signed and notarized. If unable to attend the meeting please contact David Ellis so paper work can be completed.

Ahoskie Post 102 Junior Team Seeking Players

Ahoskie Post 102 is still seeking players for our Junior Team, ages 14-17, the team will be coached by Cody Higgenbotham, and TJ Cunnane.

Team will play at least 21 games plus conference playoff starting in mid May and playing through mid July.

Players must turn 14 this calendar year and can't turn 18

TRENT HOBBS AREA 1 JUNIOR LEGION PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Congratualtions to Trent Hobbs--- he was selected as 2019 Area 1 Junior Legion Player Of The Year..Trent will be honored on March 14, 2020 at the American Legion Hall of Fame Banquet. Way to go Trent!!!

2017 Braves @ State Championship in Mocksville

Braves Go 1-2 In Junior Legion State Playoffs-- Finish 5th in State Tournament

On June 19th, Braves fall to Morehead City 8-6, On Saturday June 20th Braves lose a heartbreaker to South Rowan 11-4, but rebounds on Sunday June 21 and beat RS Central Rutherford 2-0--due to tiebraker Braves finish 5th in 2019 Junior Legion State Championship.

Braves finish a 2 year run with a record of 39-10, and a 3 year run with a 3rd and 5th place finish in the Junior Legion State Championship.

2018 Junior Legion Tournament Was A Success

David Ellis Elected to NC Legion Baseball Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Coach David Ellis for being inducted into the 2021 Class of the NC American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony was held on March 5, 2022 in Cherryville NC. Coach Ellis has been involved with Ahoskie Post 102 Baseball since 2006, coaching both Junior and Senior Teams and now  also currently serves as the teams Financial Officer. SGM JOHNNIE RAY FARMER PASSES AWAY

Ahoskie Post 102 is saddened to say that Sergeant Major Johnnie Ray Farmer passed away on Saturday April 4, 2020. Back in the summer of 1997, Johnnie and Wayne Meeks helped bring American Legion Baseball back to Ahoskie. Not only was Johnnie the "heart" of Ahoskie Post 102 baseball he also served 13 years as an Army Instructor for the Junior ROTC program at Hertford County High School. Plus, he served as a Hertford County Commissioner for 18 years. Johnnie was recognized for all of his dedication to Post 102 baseball and was elected to the NC American Legion Hall of Fame. We will truly miss you Johnnie Ray, rest in peace and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
