The Town of Brookhaven opened a beautiful new "green" recreation facility in Centereach. 
The building houses all the Town's Parks & Recreation activities including it's summer soccer program.

The building will be on your right hand side next to the Centereach Pool.

Brookhaven Soccer offers a summer soccer program just right for you !
We offer .. VARSITY Leagues for BOYS going into grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 next September
We offer .. JV Leagues for BOYS going into grades 8, 9, & 10 next September
  * Due to a shortage of certified soccer referees we are not able to offer any boys JV leagues this summer.  
We offer .. VARSITY Leagues for GIRLS going into grades 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 next September
We offer .. JV Leagues for GIRLS going into grades 7, 8, 9 & 10 next September

* Our Soccer Programs are created by the High School Varsity Soccer Coaches
     who enter their Varsity & JV school teams into our summer soccer leagues.

General Information ...
Although we need to wait until we see how many Boys & Girls High School Varsity & JV
teams enter our leagues before we can post our 8 League Schedules we can give you some
General Information about our summer soccer league.

Boys Varsity & JV games are played on Monday & Wednesday evenings.
      * June 29, 2026 is the 1st game night for boys.
Grade Restrictions for Boys
       VARSITY = for BOYS going into grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 next September
       JV = for BOYS going into grades 8, 9, & 10 next September
Girls Varsity & JV games are played on Tuesday & Thirsday evenings.
      * June 30, 2026 is the 1st game night for girls.
Grade Restrictions for Girls
       VARSITY = for GIRLS going into grades 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 next September
       JV = for GIRLS going into grades 7, 8, 9 & 10 next September
Friday evenings are used as fill-in game dates and make-up game dates.
Game times are either 5:30pm or 6:45pm each evening.
We try to play JV games at the earlier time but sometimes that can't be done.
We do not play games on Saturdays or Sundays.

A ... Player Waiver is required to play.
By filling out the Waiver parents and players understand they are playing "at their own risk."
The Town of Brookhaven does not provide any insurance.
We only use referees who work games during the regular fall High School leagues.
Without rain-outs, the program is scheduled to end around the second week of August.

Important Reminder ... Contact your High School's Soccer Coaches !
  Our leagues are structured by the Varsity soccer coaches from all the School Districts.
  The Varsity coaches enter their Varsity & JV teams into our summer soccer program.   
  Brookhaven Soccer does not and will not place boys and girls on team rosters. 
  We only run the league.
  Parents need to speak with their High School soccer coaches to get their chirldren on a team.

The Deadline for varsity coaches to enter a team is ... Saturday May 23, 2026
Team Rosters are Frozen on .................................. Thursday June 18, 2026

 BROOKHAVEN RECREATION * YOUTH PROGRAMS 
High School Varsity & JV players become eligible to play when the Soccer League Supervisors receive
a signed "PLAYER WAIVER." Boy's & Girl's can go on-line to register. The Player and Coaches waivers
are located in the upper right hand corner of this website. The Waiver states that the player has
permission from his/her parent or guardian to play soccer in the Town of Brookhaven soccer program.
Any "YOUTH" soccer player who is injured during one of our soccer games or events can fill out an
"Accident Report" stating the nature of the injury. "Accident Reports" should be filled out by the Soccer
Field Supervisors at the time of the injury. All youth players and their parent or legal guardian must
sign off on the Waiver stating that they undewrstand their  child will play at their ... "own risk."

 Playing at their ... "OWN RISK" 
 Brookhaven Town does NOT provide Insurance ! 
In years past the Town of Brookhaven provided supplimental Insurance. In 2009 the Town dropped that
policy and announced that anyone playing in Brookhaven Recreation programs are now playing at their
"own risk." The policy is stated on registration Waiver form. Further explanation can be provided
by the Town of Brookhaven's Law Department.

TEAM TRASH, WATER BOTTLES & TAPE
Varsity and Summer Soccer Coaches....
Please make sure your players are cleaning up after their games.
There have been some complaints from the people who are nice
enough to allow us to use their fields. It is not their responsibility
to pick up trash that your players are leaving. If you can't get your
players to pick up their water bottles, tape and trash then it is your job
to clean up before you leave. There are plenty of garbage pails at
all our fields and sites. Simple get our players to use them.

PORT-A-LAVS
There are Port-A-Lav's at the P/M Youth Soccer Complex.
There are bathrooms at all the Town of Brookhaven soccer fields.
Please make sure your players are using them and not the woods !
