Saturday Strength Training Begins Saturday November 2nd
Starting Saturday November 2nd we will be having strength training from 9am - 10am. Coaches will be there to supervisor and work with current players and new members to the program teaching proper form and lifting techniques. All are encouraged to attend. In addition, its expected that players go an additional 2 times per week either at school during open fitness center time from 3pm -4pm everyday after school or make other arrangements to get there workouts in.

2020 Mercy Catcher's Clinic - January 18th, 25th and February 1st
About the Camp: The Mercy Softball Coaching Staff and Varsity Players, both current and former, will focus on teaching the fundamentals of catching – throwing (improved POP Time), receiving, blocking, framing, and knowledge of the position. Basic and advanced skill mechanics will be taught.
· 6.0 hours of instruction.
· Video of footwork and throwing analysis for every attendee.
· Basic and advanced skill mechanics.
· Focus on Improved POP Time for all attendees.
· How to interact and work with the home plate umpire.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROCESS INFORMATION - 7TH & 8TH GRADERS
For 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for the JV or Varsity Softball teams must first qualify by completing and passing the Advanced Placement Process (APP)

Fall Open Gyms/ Open Turf and Softball Program Meeting Scheduled
Fall Open Turf sessions have been scheduled for all students interested in playing softball in grades 6th - 12th. The dates are the following:
Tuesday September 17th 3pm - 5pm
Tuesday September 24th 3pm - 5pm
Tuesday October 8th 3pm to 5pm.
All will be held outside on the softball field. Please dress appropriately and weather permitting.
Program Informational Meeting - Wednesday September 18th 3pm - 3:30pm
At this meeting we will be going over basic information about the softball program, the strength training program, Spring Trip and other important items for those both new and returning to the program.

Cost: Without fundraising the cost per player will be approximately $ 800.00. We are looking to fundraise as much as possible and will be rolling a NYS Lottery Calendar Sale and a Meat Raffle to be held on Saturday April 18th.

Mercy 2018 Section V Class A1 Champs
Mercy defeated Pittsford Mendon 7-0 to win the 2018 Section V Class A1 Championship for the second year in a row. Riley Maher was named Section V Class A1 MVP along with Section V All Tournament team of Colleen Fox, Lauren Gulick, Danielle Salina and Kate Vara.
Mercy hosts Greece Arcadia in the First Round of Sectionals
Mercy will host Greece Arcadia on Monday May 21sr in the first round of Sectionals. The winner will play the #2 Seed Brockport on Wednesday May 23rd in Brockport
MERCY 2017 SECTION V CLASS A1 CHAMPIONS
Mercy put on a tremendous display of hitting and defeated Pittsford Mendon 19-9 to take the Class A1 Sectional Championship. Congratulations to the Mercy players and the entire Mercy Softball Community for such a great win.
Congratulations to Senior Ellie Schlehr for being named Sectional Tournament MVP. Other Mercy players named to the all tournament team: Senior Olivia Ortega, Junior Nicole Bell, Junior Danielle Salina, and Sophomore Kate Vara.
Up next for the Monarchs is the State Qualifying crossover game vs. Pittsford Sutherland on Tuesday 6pm at Brockport College.
