Welcome to Reds Baseball of Northern Kentucky. We will be playing in the Crosstown Baseball League.

Below are some of the rules that will apply to our team this season.

  • We will be competing the C-1 Minor Ddivision which is for all youths born on or after May 1, 2003, referred to as 10U (age ten and under).
  • There are no residency requirements that restrict players from residing in specific “districts” or “cities”. Pitching distance is 48 feet.
  • Base distances are 65 feet.
  • Any team winning by 10 or more runs may NOT steal/advance any base or home plate until the led drops below 10 runs at any point during the game.
  • In 10U, all games will be six (6) innings.
  • All players present at the game will be put into the batting order. If a player is late for the game, that player must be added at the end of the batting order. If a player cannot continue in a game, his/her spot in the line up is left open and is not an out.
  • Pitching limits:

Less than 25 pitches = no rest

26 - 50 pitches = 1 day rest (Pitch on Monday can pitch Wednesday)

51 - 60 pitches = 2 days rest (Pitch Monday can pitch Thursday)

61 - 75 pitches = 3 days rest (max number of pitches is 65 for 1 day) (Pitch Monday can pitch Friday)

  • A game is considered official if one team is ahead by ten (10) runs and four (4) innings have been completed. The game can continue with the agreement of both managers, if time is not a factor.
  • All games will have a 2 hour time limit. If no game follows a scheduled game, there is no time limit.
  • Umpires fees are $20 per team per game.
  • Entry fees: Each team is required to pay $150 as an Entry Fee. In addition, teams/organizations are required to carry insurance for their respective team(s). Our cost for insurance will be $95.
  • The regular playing season consists of a minimum of a fourteen (14) game schedule that must be played before the start of the tournament on June 14th. Games can be scheduled during and after the tournament. Tournament seeding will be based on “wins” as of June 14th and team must have played 12 games regular season games by June 14th. Teams will work out their own schedules with help from the Crosstown Baseball League Board, as necessary.
  • In February, there will be a meeting at Blessed Sacrament to put together this season’s game schedule.
