Help Wanted! PYC and your kids need YOU

Pleasureville Youth Club(PYC) is staffed by volunteers. We have a common purpose to create a fun and educational atmosphere for our players, coaches, and parents.

For maximum fun on your part, and to keep our programs going and your kids playing, GET INVOLVED! We always have various openings in the positions described below. Contact Mark Lentz at 845-6333 or for more info!

BOARD MEMBER: If you have good ideas and like small group meetings, you can contribute to the PYC Board! Monthly meetings are the 2nd Tuesday. We meet at 7pm at the Central Middle School October through April, and at 8pm at Crist fields May through September. The Board sets policy for our Baseball, Softball, Basketball, and Soccer programs.

SPORT COORDINATOR: Each sport has a coordinator. If you’re well organized, and like to manage projects, you might be a good Coordinator. Our Sport Coordinators manage the individual sports, including setting up registrations, managing tryouts and team selection, scheduling, and working with coaches and parents to make the season successful. This important job requires significant work, but is VERY rewarding.

SPORT REGISTRAR: Each sport has a registrar. If you are good with paperwork and are organized, you can contribute a great deal as a registrar. This important person is involved for about 4 weeks in the beginning of a season, setting up and managing registrations, filing necessary paperwork with the appropriate sport league, and ensuring our players and coaches are ready for the season.

COACH: If you like working with the kids, this is the job for you. The Coach manages the team through the season, setting up and running practices and ensuring the team has a fun and educational experience. NO prior experience is necessary; there are MANY good resources to start you off!

FIELD MAINTENANCE TEAM: Like working outdoors? Field maintenance is for you! Our Crist fields, used for Baseball, Softball, and Soccer, need lots of attention to keep them cut, trimmed, raked, and ready for the players. Since we are a private club, no township or government helps; we do the work ourselves!
