    Welcome to the All Boro Baseball league site. All Boro is an amataeur 18 and up men's baseball league located in New York, NY. Our players range from former professional players and elite college players to up and coming home grown talent looking to make a name for themself amongst the Summer ball ranks.

    Our reputation is quickly growing as the premiere NYC Summer baseball league. We have players from over 15 countries playing in the melting pot of NYC, the Bronx. The games are fast, fun and very competitive.

    Mission:
    The All-Boro Baseball league was formed in 2007 after years of league play in the NYC area with no clear community involvement, common goals, organization, or governance. With a passion for the game, excellent paperwork and organizational skills, the league was born from a small group of gentlemen that had interest in the league. They wanted to continue to play the game and provide young adults in the NYC area the same opportunity to play in a well organized league; in an amateur league that prides itself in fostering the great game of baseball being played at a highly competitive level by non-professionals.

    Future:
    The All-Boro Baseball League has evolved into a 501c3 non profit organization continuing to provide the NYC area an affordable, coordinated, and safe environment for all adults interested in playing baseball. It hopes to organically develop home-grown talent and provide a platform for youth in the area looking to play baseball at the collegiate and professional levels.

    The ABUA is the largest membership association for amateur baseball umpires in the U.S. Its purpose is to improve the overall quality of umpiring in youth league, high school and college baseball through innovative teaching and educational programs, and superior educational resources. The ABUA provides a national organization and network where individual umpires and local associations can promote professionalism, integrity and a love of the game.

    The American Federation Of Umpires, established in 1991, is a group of men and women who share the common goal of consistent improvement and adjustment in their umpiring skills and knowledge of the game that contributes to the reputation we enjoy with our clients. The AFU is based in Nassau County, New York, and serves the adjoining counties of Suffolk to the east, Queens and Brooklyn to the west. We are baseball umpires and have added some girls' softball to our client base in response to the growing presence of softball in this part of the country. Over the years, the American Federation Of Umpires has been recruited to umpire at various levels of baseball that include: College Wood Bat, New York Metro Baseball League, Men's 18 Year Old Wood Bat and Aluminum, Men's Senior League Baseball, Elite League Baseball at the 17/18 and 16 year old level, Independent League Baseball 17/18 years old, Big League Baseball 16/18 years old, Boys 13/14,15/16 year old baseball, Boys 11/12 year old baseball and girl's softball ages 11 through 18 years old, to name a few. In addition, we have been invited to work World Series, States, Sections and District contests in each of the above levels of play. If we have learned anything over the years, it is that each of us share a common focus. We are committed to performance expectations that are crisply translated on the field through rules knowledge, timing, mechanics, judgement, appearance, game management skills and improved communications with managers and coaches. Blending dependability, on-field expertise and interactive skills, in a professional cooperative setting, at the amateur level, are the benchmarks we are most proud of.

    Brentwood Youth Activities (BYA) is a not-for-profit, all volunteer youth organization that provides a safe place for the children of our community to participate in various sports while learning teamwork, camaraderie, and good sportsmanship.


  • Catholic Middle Schools Athletic Association
    Eight years ago, Catholic Schools on Long Island offered few, if any, inter-school athletic competitions. Thanks to the work of many wonderful volunteers from our parishes and schools, the CMSAA came to be, and that all changed!

    Now, in this era of austerity and cuts in budgets all around us, the Catholic Schools offer an array of middle school sports opportunities that is tough to beat.

    In the fall, our sixth, seventh and eighth graders can compete in Soccer or Cross-Country. Our Soccer teams travel across Long Island and play on some of the best fields on the Island, Meanwhile, our cross-country schedule boasts meets at Parks in the north, south, east and west, and includes multiple meets at Sunken Meadow Park, recognized as one of the premier XC venues on Long Island. Our meets draw hundreds of students.

    In the winter, middle school athletics include Basketball and Bowling. Basketball remains our most popular sport, as between 40 and 50 squads compete across six divisions. Bowling, introduced in winter 2010-2011, was an immediate success, and allowed even more students to join a school team in competition.

    Spring brings with it Baseball and Softball, and an incredibly talented and competitive Volleyball program (both Coed and Girls only divisions.) The CMSAA Baseball and Softball program plays approximately half of its games at Baseball Heaven, an incredible complex in Yaphank which has four 90 foot baseball diamonds as well as three softball fields. It is not uncommon in April and May to find four, five or more CMSAA ballgames going on simultaneously at Baseball Heaven.

    All of these sports are brought to the Catholic Schools through an efficient and cohesive structure -- the CMSAA -- and volunteer "Reps" from each school who donate their time and talents. Accordingly, CMSAA sports, funded entirely by the families of the students, typically can cost between $75 and $125 per season; very reasonable for middle school sports.

    Please share news of the CMSAA with your friends, parishes, and schools. We are growing, while others are contracting, and our schools are benefiting from this wonderful experience we make possible for middle school students in the Catholic schools on Long Island.

    CYO of Nassau & Suffolk CYO, organized on Long Island by the Most Reverend Gerald Ryan under the Diocese of Rockville Centre, has given to many thousands of young men and women an avenue to develop their knowledge of, skills in, and love for sports as they strengthen their character and develop self confidence. Many CYO athletes have gone on to play, coach, or officiate in high school, College, and Professional Athletics.

    The CYO of Nassau & Suffolk born on September 1, 1993, continues this tradition by providing quality athletic programming while encouraging over 24,000 young people throughout Long Island, regardless of race, creed, or national origin, to see the talent and potential within them, and to develop these to their fullest ability.

    With 95 parishes in Nassau & Suffolk Counties presently participating in various sports programs, the growth of the CYO of Nassau & Suffolk has expanded from 14, 516 children in 1991 to a new high of approximately 24,000 in 2010.. From St. Aloysius in Great Neck in the west, to Our Lady of the Isle on Shelter Island on the East End, CYO offers children from ages 6-18 sports programs which include Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Swimming, Track, and Volleyball.

    CYO and its members work together to promote good sportsmanship and fair play. Sportsmanship is the backbone of CYO. We affirm that the heart of CYO and the key to its success is found in the many volunteers who freely give of their time, energy, resources, and expertise. CYO continues to strongly maintain a commitment to Catholic values and excellence in sportsmanship

    For the children of Long Island, CYO has been a standard for learning and experiencing team sports and recreation. The Athletic programs should be viewed as part of the faith building efforts of the participating members. These programs can be effective tools that will invite, welcome, and involve any person into the life of the faith community.   • College Baseball Umpires Assigning Organization
    The College Baseball Umpires Assigning Organization (CBUAO)is dedicated to baseball umpiring. The CBUAO President is Nick Zibelli. The organization, founded in 2006, was created to fill a void left by the restructuring of Eastern College Baseball Umpire Assigning Bureau. The CBUAO incorporates the basic principles and ideals that, before the restructuring, made the ECBUB the premier college baseball assigning organization in the country. Over 600 umpires from Maine to Florida and as far west as Wisconsin are registered with the CBUAO and are available for assignments to college baseball games in Division I, II, III, and Junior College (see our CLIENTS page). Umpires are recruited through the various college umpiring associations and are trained and evaluated through the CBUAO’s vast network of associates. The CBUAO provides the highest quality of officiating, including umpires who have worked the NCAA Men’s College World Series.



  • Deer Park Community Center
    The Deer Park Community Center is a not for profit program that has been providing Youth and Senior Citizen programming for the community since 1978. The Community Center is located in the former Memorial Elementary School Building.

    The Center Provides for Youths, a Drop in Lounge, which contains pool tables, ping-pong tables, foosball, and air hockey for children ages 8 and up to hang out.

    The children use the gym in the building for sports programs and as well for open gym time.

    Each year we are priviledged to work with 700 children and 150 Senior Citizens from Deer Park. Since 1993 we have been located in the Memorial School on Homer Avenue

    East Coast Umpires Association (ECUA) is based in Suffolk County, New York and is one of Long Islands largest amateur umpire associations.   • Long Island Federation of Amateur Baseball League
    Our youth baseball organization is the largest program of its kind in New York State and could very well be one of the largest in the United States. We have over 200 teams allowing some 3,000 boys to play competitive baseball.

    The league currently fields teams from Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties and covers players from 10 through 18 years of age and college players in their early twenties.

    The ten to twelve year-olds play three seasons: spring, summer and fall. The thirteen to eighteen year-old teams play a summer and fall season and the college age teams play a summer season only.

    The league is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1993 by its current President Len Renna. Under Len Renna's direction F.A.B.L. has become a vital part of our youth baseball community. There are over a dozen people volunteering to run the league and without their dedication and hard work, the league wouldn’t be able to provide our young players with such outstanding baseball.

    Our league has developed strong affiliations with the oldest and finest national baseball organizations in the country. These relationships are very important to all our teams and players. You can learn more about NABF (National Amateur Baseball Federation), AABC (American Amateur Baseball Congress), PONY, AAABA (All-American Amateur Baseball Association) and Babe Ruth by clicking on them from this web site. These national baseball organizations are held in such high esteem within the world-wide baseball community that a special section on youth baseball is dedicated to them at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.

    Each year the league hosts an awards breakfast for the top 10, 11 & 12 year-old baseball players in our league. Often prominent baseball figures appear as special guest speakers. The guest speakers are selected with a view to inspire the younger players. College coaches often speak to the boys about maintaining academic standards and the virtues of playing college baseball. At times, we have had former F.A.B.L. players who are now playing minor league and major league baseball speak about their personal road to professional baseball through hard work and dedication.

    We are very proud of our All-Star Game. The NY Mets organization has been very generous and gracious towards us. We greatly appreciate their continued interest in the betterment of youth baseball. Each year on the same date as the major league All-Star Game, our league holds our high school age All-Star Game at Shea Stadium. Each team in that age group sends their best players to this 9-inning game. We usually have about 50 players getting an opportunity to play. It is a tremendous thrill for the kids to play on the same field that so many great baseball players have played on. For the players and their families it is a very memorable day to say the least. We are truly giving the kids a “Field of Dreams” to play on. Also, we never overlook an opportunity to help our players. We invite every area college coaching staff to this game and are always seeking ways to help these players with college scholarships.

    The Interscholastic Athletics service coordinates all public school secondary interscholastic athletic contests that take place in Nassau. Involved in this scheduling are 136 schools in 46 districts, thousands of boys and girls, and approximately 2,000 officials. Responsibilities include: evaluation, assignment, and payment of game officials; maintenance of centralized records; interpretation and supervision of rules and regulations; provision of
    CPR/First Aid training to coaches; and issuance of temporary coaching licenses.

    The Interscholastic Athletics service relieves subscribing school districts of many administrative duties related to their sports activities.

    Welcome to the ASA Umpire Program!

    The ASA umpire program is among the nation's largest officiating organizations with over 42,000 officials actively involved each year. ASA officials are nationally recognized as the best trained and proficient in the sport and are involved in competition starting with league play, city, state and national championships. Many of our local District 8 ASA umpires have officiated in National Tournaments, all across the country.

    The ASA annually hosts local, state and national umpire clinics which literally blanket the nation and bring the best instruction available in the sport to every region. Over the last decade, the Amateur Softball Association's umpire program has become an innovator in the production of quality training materials. When a clinic is not available - videos, books, slides and other instructional aids allow instruction to continue.

    Hey, sports fans. I'm not just smiling because I'm getting some PT with Dickie V. I'm smiling because I love what I do. I'm Chuck DeCarbo, an official in four different sports for nearly 20 years. Like you, I was frustrated by the lack of a centralized store on Long Island with a wide selection of gear for multiple sports.

    On March 25, 2004, I opened The Sports Loft with a simple motto: Professional Approach, Personal Touch. We are all officials in multiple sports. You may see some of my friends with me at meetings - Kevin Bruen, John Cornwell, Bill Marchese, Hector Seda, Rob Toolan and Joe Zawistowski. Teamwork - one partner helping another - is what officiating is all about.


    On Dec. 1, 2008, we moved into 283 Orinoco Drive in Brightwaters. We have enough space to stock inventory for fellow officials in six sports. Our objective is to attend meetings and service officials in baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer and softball. And if we miss you at a meeting, we have a spacious place to service your needs.

    We carry high-quality gear and provide superb customer service. We have been the exclusive supplier for ECUA since it started seven years ago and we added CBUAO in 2010 and ABURI in 2011. We also service AFU, Big Apple, ESBUA, LIAUA, NAUA, NJBL, NYSBUA, NYSSO and WSBUA. Joining our 2011 supplier lineup are Power-Tek and Reebok.     The World Umpires Association (WUA) was certified by the National Labor Relations Board on February 24, 2000, as the bargaining agent for Major League Baseball's umpires.
    The WUA is a union managed from within, with legal counsel taking an advisory role. At its first meeting in the spring of 2000, the WUA elected a leadership team from among its ranks. The Board of Directors also includes umpires elected to three-, two-, and one-year terms.
