ALVERTHORPE PARK
Directions: Take the PA Turnpike to the Willow Grove Exit # 343, Route 611 (Old York Road). Take 611 South for 5.4 miles to Greenwood Avenue. Turn left on Greenwood Avenue for 0.3 miles You will come to a fork in the road. The left fork is Greenwood Avenue and the right fork is Jenkintown Road. Take the right fork on Jenkintown Road for 0.6 miles. Turn left on Forrest Avenue. Entrance is on the left. There may be a security guard at the entrance. Tell him you are there for baseball.
Here are other directions from different areas:
From Jersey: Take the Tacony bridge, make a right onto State St, follow State St. to Cottman. Left on Cottman. Cottman becomes Township Line Rd. Make a right onto Jenkintown Rd and a right onto Forest Ave. Park entrance on left.
Coming from Delaware: Take I95 N to Cottman Ave exit. Proceed on Cottman as above.
From Bucks County: Take Rt 232 towards Philly. Make a right onto Cedar Ave. Make a right onto Fox Chase Rd. Make a left onto Forest Ave. Entrance to Park is on right.
From Philly: Go to Rt 73 and follow as above.
