Mission

To unite fellow baseball enthusiasts through a convenient and competitive adult baseball league in the South Bay. To offer working professionals in the South Bay the opportunity to play baseball regardless of talent level. To create lasting friendships and healthy competition in an atmosphere that fosters comradeship. To be a proactive, positive contributor to the South Bay community.

Vision

The goal of the BCBL is to provide adults in the South Bay the opportunity to relive America’s favorite pastime. It is a league founded by locals and created for locals. By creating lasting relationships with the South Bay community, the BCBL can establish its presence on local baseball fields to provide a convenient avenue for adult baseball. Multiple divisions and a regulated drafting process will ensure competitive games while social events and national tournaments will promote camaraderie among players.

Philanthropy

In addition to putting in countless hours in the office and a few extra on the diamond, several of our BCBL members give their heart and soul to other Philanthropic activities around the South Bay.

Volunteer Coaches for the Manhattan Beach Little League
Manhattan Beach Riverdogs
Spring 2009 to 2015

Since the Spring of 2009, several of our players have been volunteering to coach and mentor 12 and 13 year olds in the Manhattan Beach Little League. It has been a rewarding experience taking the youngsters of the Manhattan Beach Riverdogs and teaching them how to play the game while also emphasizing the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.

USO Charity Softball Tournament
Team Baseball Club
May 2011 to 2015

On May 21 the BCBL took a team to the Northrop Grumman USO Charity Softball Tournament at La Mirada Park. While we learned that a baseball swing doesn't work in slow-pitch softball, everyone had a great time. The tournament raised money for the Bob Hope USO at LAX. Special thanks to our lady participants who stepped up to help the league out. While we didn't win, it was a worthwhile occasion and the beers and italian beef at Portillos was excellent all the same.
