NWBL First Half Recap

In the first half of the season, the Bears have had a stunning 6-0 record, leading the league. Their driving force, Michael Sands, has just been nominated as the starting pitcher for the 2018 All Star Game, and has taken the two seed in the home run derby. The second team scorching is the Central Spinners, led by Paul Snowman, the Spinners have a 5-2 first half record, going two and one against both the Marlins and the Waves, and going 1-0 against the Drifters, thanks to a clutch homer by Tristan Kennedy. Paul Snowman, is one of the pitchers in the All Star Game, and is taking the one seed in the 2018 Home Run Derby. Do Paul Snowman and the Spinners, have what it takes to clinch first, and possibly win the title?

Just behind those two teams record-wise, are the Western Waves, and the Midwest Drifters, battling for the one seed in the NL. The Drifters are currently 3-1, led by Jared Atkinson, and he is accompanied by DJ Lee. Although DJ hasn't seen playing time yet, he is expected to be one of the top prospects of the league. Christian Snowman and the Western Waves are just beginning their battle back to first, and as one of the youngest teams in the league, are still expected to have a top 4 finish. Do the three 10 year old all stars have what it takes to bring home the title of a 12-13 year old league?

OUTSIDE THE LEAGUE

Outside of the league things are going as expected with school and all, most of the players playing on town fall ball teams. Cam Caprio belongs to a 10u team, and Paul Snowman and Connor Caprio belong to a 7th to 10th grade team.
