Coaching & Volunteering Clearances

PA state law and YCYFL rule requires ALL coaches and volunteers with "direct contact with children" to get their state police clearances and PA child abuse clearances. This means that if you plan to help on the field game day OR at practices, you must obtain these clearances, sign a YCYFA mandatory reporter affidavit acknowledging your duties as a mandatory reporter,  and finally obtain a league ID badge.

These clearances can be obtained:

1.) Child abuse clearance:

2.) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check:

3.) FBI Fingerprint procedures (only required if you have not lived in PA for the past 10 years, if you HAVE lived in PA for the last 10 years, you need to fill out the YCYFA FBI exemption letter)
