Alexia Taylor - Liberty University

October 15, 2011

Alexia Taylor, Catcher for the Wildfire 16U Paulson, has verbally committed to play softball at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. 2011 was an exciting season for the Liberty Lady Flames softball team, and the year was capped off with the program's second-ever Big South Championship title and subsequent appearance in the NCAA Regionals.

Arielle Pollock - University of Southern Mississippi

Arielle Pollock, #13 Center Fielder, has accepted an offer to play for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles! Southern Miss is a member of the Conference USA and has made 4 NCAA Tournament Appearances.

The Southern Miss Softball program announced the addition of outfielder Arielle Pollock (Windermere, Fla.) to their fall signing class on Friday. On the travel ball circuit, Pollock hit leadoff for coach George Paulson's Windermere Wildfire. In 2012, the team repeated as NSA Florida State Championships while also qualifying for ASA Nationals.

Tori Van Camp - Florida Gulf Coast University

Tori Van Camp has committed to Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles in Fort Meyers, Florida. In 2011, the FGCU Eagles came in 3rd place in a very competitive Atlantic Sun Conference.

Sarah Lang - University of Maryland

Sarah Lang has accepted to play for the Maryland Terps. The University of Maryland is a member of the ACC which includes some of the top programs in the country. The Lady Terps made it to the semi-finals in 2011 and expect to play for the ACC Conference Championship in 2012.

Madison Paulson - Boston College

Madison Paulson, SS/3B for the Wildfire, has committed to play for the Boston College Eagles. Boston College is lead by Head Coach Ashley Obrest and is a member of the ACC Conference.

"Madison Paulson, a shortstop for the Windermere Wildfire and West Orange High School, was named First Team All-Conference and District in 2012. During her tenure, Paulson helped lead the team to three straight conference championships and three straight district championships. Madison finished her career with a .456 batting average, 15 home runs, 55 doubles, and a fielding percentage of .974."

Jazzmin Romero - Alabama State University

Jazzmin Romero, Wildfire Catcher and 2B, has accepted an offer to play for the Alabama State Hornets. The Hornets are lead by 8th year head coach Telma O'Neal-Hall and are a member of the SWAC Conference.

Megan McReynolds - Florida State University

November 14, 2012

Megan McReynolds, 1st Base/Catcher, has accepted an offer to play for the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee, FL. Since joining the ACC, FSU has made seven NCAA WCWS appearances and 24 postseason berths to the NCAA championship tournament.

FSU Announces 2015 Recruits

Lindsey Bert, Pitcher, closes out the 2012 Fall season by making a commitment to play for the Furman University Paladins. The Lady Paladins are in the Southern Conference and coached by first year Head Coach Kyle Jamieson.

Savannah Fisher - Southern Illinois University

Savannah Fisher, SS/CF, has committed to become a Saluki in 2014. SIU is in the Missouri Valley Conference and has enjoyed much success with 4 Conference Championships, 6 NCAA Tournaments, and a NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.

SIU Announces 2015 Recruits

From Coach Blaylock... “Savannah is a great athlete. She has great size and power but also speed to go along with that,” Blaylock said. “She is athletic enough to play shortstop but we will more than likely use her to cover a ton of ground in the OF. She was recruited by several schools in the south and we were lucky that she chose to come and play for us.”

Sydney Jones - Southern Illinois University

January 6, 2013

Sydney Jones, Catcher & 3rd base, committed to play for the Southern Illinois Salukis this Fall while playing for the Lady Gators - Jackson. She will join her Wildfire teammate Savannah Fisher in 2014 as they head to Carbondale, IL to play for Coach Blaylock.

Chase Cassady - Ole Miss

Chase Cassady, Pitcher for the Wildfire, has verbally committed to play for Ole Miss. Ole Miss is led by 2nd year Head Coach Windy Thees and is a member of the SEC. Coach Thees is building a strong program with one goal in mind, Regionals.

Courtney Riddle - College of Central Florida

While playing for Coach Traci Conrad-Fischer, Courtney Riddle committed to play for the College of Central Florida Patriots. She will be joining new Head Coach Kevin Fagan in 2014.

College of Central Florida Announces 2015 Class

Another CF signee who played in the FACA event was Courtney Riddle from Hernando High School, who started her career at Hernando Christian as a seventh-grader and ended her prep career with 94 victories as a pitcher.

 

 As a senior, Riddle went 27-2 and led Hernando to the regional finals in Class 5A. She also hit .485 with three homers and 44 RBI as a senior. During her high school career, Riddle recorded 735 strikeouts in 787 innings of work.

 

 

Tana McDaniel - Morehead State University

September 2, 2013

Tana committed to play softball at Morehead State University while playing for Coach Traci Conrad-Fisher. Tana will headed to Kentucky to join the Lady Eagles in 2014 and will play for 2nd year Head Coach David Williams.

Michaela Hynes - Florida Gulf Coast University

Michaela Hynes has committed to play for the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. Michaela will be playing for Coach David Deiros who started the softball program in 2001. The Eagles have been very successful and are looking for Michaela to be a key part of that success.

Coach Deiros on Hynes: “We were very fortunate to get Michaela to join us for next year.  She had the most dynamic last six months that I have ever seen from a recruit.  She learned a new defensive position and exploded as an offensive force."

Kali Jones has committed to play for the UNCW Seahawks. Kali will join second year Head Coach Kristy Norton in 2015. UNCW is in the very competitive Colonial Athletic Association Conference.

Haley Wiseman - Barry University

Haley committed to play softball at Barry University while playing for Coach Mike Morgan. Haley will headed to Barry to join the Lady Bucs in 2014 and will play for 9th year coach Danielle Penner.

Barry Announces 2015 Class

“Haley is an outstanding pitcher, one of the best in the state,” Barry head coach Danielle Penner said. “She’s also a great student and person and we’re very excited to have her join the team.”

Wiseman was astounding from the circle, posting a 16-5 record last season with rock-bottom 0.91 ERA, fanning 215 hitters through 138 innings. She also sports a 4.4 GPA – fourth in her class – and is planning to study nursing.
