Jake Dodge has been passionate about baseball and softball for as long as he can remember.  After a successful high school career, he played for the American Ambassadors Team overseas and then went on to earn collegiate All-American honors.  Jake became a Physical Education teacher upon graduating from University of Northwestern, St. Paul, and shared his baseball passion as a coach.  When a softball head coach position opened up, he discovered a whole new ball game.  With his first HS fastpitch team, Jake won two conference championships, a regional title, a sectional final debut, and coach of the year honors.  Jake took over the BW Storm Program in 2022, making the sectional semi-finals with 2 athletes earning All-Section Honors.  Multiple athletes from Jake's time as a coach and private instructor have gone on to play for college teams.

When Jake's career shifted to school Administration, he started DBI as a way to continue to share his passion for baseball and softball and ensure that young athletes have a solid grasp of the fundamental skills they will need for success.  DBI ran successfully for 6 years in West Central Wisconsin where Jake would at times have up to 100 lessons/month.  He's excited to bring DBI to the Red River Valley.
