Mr. Joshua Hawkins was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He moved to Charlotte in 1992 and founded the Foxboro Tigers Youth Organization two years later.  The FTYO was created to positively impact the youth in our communities.  He believes that getting youth involved in sports will help keep them away from negative influences.  His favorite saying is "Keep hope alive."

He is a loving husband, father of four and grandfather to three, so he is very invested in the future of our youth.

Mr. Hawkins was nominated by the Charlotte Hornets for the Hornet's Hometown Hero Award.  He was presented the Doc Martin Sportsmanship Award.  He received the Mecklenburg Optimist Pop Warner Football League PAL North Mighty-Mite Head Coach Award.  Coach Hawkins was honored by the Mecklenburg County Park and Rec.
