We are excited to officially start the 2022 Football season on Monday August 8th at Beasley Oval Field behind High School! All Football practices will be at Beasley Oval Field.

The week of August 8th will be conditioning. Please wear shorts, cleats, and bring water. Conditioning must be completed before any contact drills occur.

All paperwork must be handed in to receive equipment

§ All participants require a current physical (A physical dated on or after 1/1/22. If a physical was done prior to 1/1/22 a form must be signed by your Dr.)

§ New program participants must provide an original birth certificate before the start of the season that will be returned

Reminders: Please do not leave your child unattended at field, coaches are there at 6:30 or if otherwise noted by the coaching staff of your team.  Please arrive 15 min prior to the end of practice as someone has to wait until your child is picked up if you are late. Weather Conditions may shorten or cancel practice.  2022 Wakefield Youth Football Season 

Practice Starts Aug 8th @ 6:30pm / Beasley Oval / Behind High School, Do not leave your child unattended at field, coaches are there at 6:00 or if otherwise noted by the coaching staff of your team.  Please arrive 15 min prior to the end of practice as someone has to wait until your child is picked up if your are late.

 

Weather Conditions may shorten or cancel practice keep in touch with team parent make sure they have all means of contact if it rains we do practice check with your team. When there is lighting we must evacuate the field please stay close by if weather call for potential lightning.

 

First week will be conditioning shorts, rubber cleats and water bottle (refillable to reduce trash), conditioning must be completed before any contact drills occur.

 

We will inform teams of equipment handout days & times. All paperwork must be turned in to receive equipment.  Wakefield Youth Football will supply helmet, shoulder pads, mouthpiece, belt, practice shirt , practice pants, knee and thigh pads. Parent must supply girdle with hip, tailbone pads and athletic supporter (cup), game pants and chin straps will be sold these are best suited for our helmets and are recommended. All equipment listed is mandatory for a child to play in a game and practice. Game shirts will be handed out at later date.  Equipment handout will be Mon August 16th in the basement of the Americal Civic Center team times will be put out during first week of practice.  All paperwork must be turned in to be issued equipment

 

Practice is important please be at all practices this is where all training takes place.

 

Game day volunteers are always needed there will be team parents to get info out to everyone.
