After losing three players for the second straight year at the beginning of the season the Red Dogs did not rebuild this time either, they just re-loaded again and today took their fourth straight FPBL tittle with this one being the sweetest of them all. We only had 10 players at the end but it was 10 players that played very well together and had no egos. 14u is a difficult age for obvious reasons but they overcame a slow start and the ended the year on a 11 game winning streak and allowing only 11 runs in the last 7 games. Today we got over 10 hits in each game and the team came through when it counted. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE RED DOGS PLAYERS, COACHES, PARENTS AND FANS!!

Kevin Abraham and Alex Perez capped off a great year by being named to the All-American team by www.travelballselect.com. Kevin hit .401 for the Red Dogs as a 13 year old with 11 HR's. This is after he hit .399 with 28 HR's as a 12 year old. He was also a very good catcher that stopped opponents running game with a very strong throwing arm. Kevin also hit very well in big games and against big pitchers. Kevin was also a very good base runner who stole 31 bases. Kevin is currently 4th in all time games played with the Red Dogs with 332. He is a well mannered teenager that treats everyone with respect. Kevin attends Somerset Academy in Pembroke Pines where he is in the 9th grade.

AP came to the Red Dogs 1/3 into the season and we proceeded to win 6 out of 8 tournaments. The tournaments that we did not win we came in second in Stuart and we got upset in Pensacola after we were the number one seed. AP was a big part of our success and he won some big games for us on the mound and with his bat, speed and defense. He ended up hitting .425 with 2 HR's and 18 stolen bases. On the mound he went 6-3 with 5 saves. Striking out  69 batters in 42 innings pitching all in difficult assignments only because thats when he pitched.  AP is also a very well mannered teenager that treats everyone with respect. He attends Dade Christian in Miami Lakes where he is in the 9th grade.
