Parents' Code of Conduct & Ethics

1.  Promote good sportsmanship as a fan.

2.  Support all players, Coaches and Officials.  Coaches will handle any on the field issues if they arise.

3.  Make sure your child shows up to practice/ games at the required time with all of the necessary equipment for the days event and is ready to start on time.  For example if practice is to start at 6:00pm, we don’t want to start putting our pads on at 6:00pm, you are expected to be dressed, on the line and ready to begin at 6:00pm.

4.  No parents are allowed on the field unless specifically asked by a coach.  Please respect the boundaries. Practice/ Game time means instruction from coaches not Parents.

5.  Make sure that win or lose, the kids know that their efforts are appreciated.

6.  Never speak negatively of a teammate or coach.  Children hear more than we give them credit for.  This type of action can be very divisive, even at a young age.

7.  No coaching from the stands will be tolerated!!!

8.  Save talks about the game for home (after car ride) and let the kids decompress a little.  The only things you should focus on is your child's effort and any positive things they have done.  Leave the corrections to the coaches.

9.  If any concerns should come up, they are to be dealt with through the Head Coach by sending an email and set up an appropriate time time discuss any issue. DO NOT confront coach after game or at practice.Respect the 24 hour rule.

10. Items appropriate to discuss:
            Treatment of your child
Ways to help your child improve concerns about your child's behavior

11. Items not appropriate to discuss
            Playing time or position
            Team strategy
            Play calling
            Other Kids performance

Remember, that football is the ultimate team sport.  When you sign up to play football, you are signing up  to participate in the sport, not to play a specific position.  For our team to be successful, we must have a number of moving parts working on their position specific tasks to accomplish a common goal.  To fill the positions on the team we are going to do our best to put kids in the positions we feel give our team the best opportunity to develop.
