St. James School & Cross Country (Fall Sport)

Fifteen plus years ago, Parents of St. James School established the Fall Cross Country Program within the Athletic Department and with much needed help from the St. James Knights of Columbus. This program is unique in that the team is also supported by many different organizations in Woodbridge. The students of St. James School that choose to run in the SJS Athletic Department's Fall Cross Country program participate in USA Track & Field's (USATF) National Junior Olympic Youth Cross Country Program as part of the New Jersey USATF Association. This program is a nationwide running competition that culminates each year at the Junior Olympic National Championships. These championship races have been held in places such as South Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, Rhode Island and Texas in 2013. The program's season starts when the school year begins.

The progam has a very long history and is an excellent opportunity for students to learn needed discipline about training and competition in the sport of running. The program is open to any student of St. James School.

The competition name of the Cross Country Team is the Crimson Knights and the team's Website can be accessed at www.leaguelineup.com/ckcc. Interested students and parents can contact Coach Campbell of the SJS Track Team at any time for more information. Use the contact information provided on this Website.
