Work Bond Information
We require a $100 work bond/uniform bond check to be given to us at the time of registration. We do not cash this check until the end of the season. If you fulfill your work bond obligation and return your uniform, we will destroy your check. We will use SignUp Genius to manage volunteers. You can choose from one of the following options to fulfill the work bond. Each family need only sign up once regardless of the number of children participating.
If you bring in a sponsorship of $150 or more, you have fulfilled your work bond requirement. If you are interested in sponsoring the BTAA, contact email@example.com for more information.
SNACK STAND OPENER: (need 4 – 5 people).
As an opener you will be responsible for unlocking the snack stand, giving the volunteers the money for the day and giving them a brief overview of the stand. Each opening should take about 15 minutes. We ask that you open 8 times and attend one brief orientation meeting. We will do our best to arrange the openings for days when you are already at the field. You can bring young children to this assignment.
SNACK STAND WORKER:
You will be responsible for working at the snack stand for one three hour shift. A link for sign-ups will be sent out shortly before the season starts and will be updated as game and opener schedules become available. Frequently Asked Questions about working the snack stand are available here.
We are always looking for individuals who want to help our players learn softball & baseball. If you are interested in volunteering as a head coach or assistant coach contact:
Dennis Mills (Baseball): firstname.lastname@example.org
Carol Anthony (Softball): email@example.com
Anyone interested in assisting on the field during practices or games will need to submit their clearances (background checks) in compliance with Pennsylvania requirements. More information is available here.
You will pick up pre-ordered food from Sam’s club and stock the stand. This job is best done by someone who has free time during the day since it needs to be done at times when the fields are not being used. You will make several trips to Sam’s Club in late April and early May
