Mandatory Evaluations and Parent Meeting

**players must register prior to the evaluations and one parent must attend parent meeting **
Once evaluations are complete rosters will be secured and no new players will be added
unless teams are under-subscribed. Final rosters will be published within one week of evaluations.
Expectations: In general, there are three commitments a week, often two games and one practice once the games start. Games are most often on Tuesday and Thursday with an additional practice on Friday or Saturday. CTK plays in a local league and most games are against local school teams in our area. The regular season begins in January and
runs until mid-March. Please see the CTK Jags Calendar on our home page for more details on the schedule.
Parents: Parents should expect to sign up for several volunteer jobs which are generally: parent on duty (stay for practice); set up for games; scoreboard for games; score book for games; clean up for games; help with banquet. Sign up for these will be thru Sign Up Genius and details will be explained at the parent meeting. Cost for the season is $150.
Players: This is a competitive program, players are expected to attend all practices and games or notify the coach if they need to miss. We understand players are only beginning to develop so at the 5/6 grade level coaches will strive for close to equal playing time (although, tournament play is different --refer to handbook). At the 7/8 grade level we begin more competitive play but still strive for some play time for each player in every game (again tournament play is different...see handbook). Our gym time if very limited, thus players should be committed to practicing at home between games/practices.
