Head Coach - Rob Combs

 

    Rob has coached the Breeze for many years. He is Portland's ASA JO Commissioner as well.  Recently, Rob took his 16A Team to a 5th Place Finish at the ASA 16A Western Nationals. Dedicated to promoting the Sport, Rob continues to develop athletes in order to play at the Collegiate level.  Rob and his wife Michelle make things happen and spend enormous amounts of time ensuring the girls come first. On many of the weekends, Michelle can be found near the Breeze dugout helping Rob keep things straight!!! Rob's oldest daughter, Maggie, runs the show at Wallace Marine Park in Salem, and his other daughter, Kelsey, helps run tournaments in the Hillsboro area, as well as helping coach when she can.

 

Assistant Coach - Kevin Hoggard

  Kevin keeps things "fun" for the girls while expecting them to perform at their highest level. You can often hear Kevin say he is just there "to lift heavy things" for Rob. Kevin's wife, Karin is usually at home taking care of their 5 year old Nephew that they recently gained custody of. Kevin has 2+1 daughters, the oldest one, Kymberlin is a Nurse at Albany, and his youngest, Kamrie was a Breeze player for a few years and is attending Linfield College. Their bonus daughter, Makayla was also a Breeze player for a few years and is also attending Linfield College.

 

Assistant Coach - Dani Ackerman

  Dani was a 4 year Varsity player at Dallas High School.  Was recruited and signed to play at Corbin University, where she was part of the team that made it to the Championship Game of the NAIA World Series.  Following graduating from Corbin University with a teaching degree, Dani provided private lessons specializing with catchers and slap-hitters.  Dani brings her passion for the game and instills it in her players. She is a great addition to the Breeze family.
