Jen(Huff)Scannell: Co-Owner

Jen owns the gym with her husband, Dan. She was an elite level gymnast for MarVaTeens in Rockville, MD, coached by Ruth Ann McBride. Jen competed in 4 Championships of the USA, but her fondest gymnastics accomplishment was winning the Mid-West Open (Chicago), in 1975. Jen earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland where she was also the first All American gymnast (floor) for Maryland.

Jen was the assistant coach for the University of Nebraska upon graduating from Maryland. She has been coaching/teaching gymnastics for over 20 years.

Dimitar “Mitko” Lountchev: Gym Manager/ Girls Team Head Coach

Professional Member of USA Gymnastics and Safety Certified. Mitko has been with Gymnastics & More since 2000. He was a competitor in two Olympic Games (Sydney & Atlanta), four World Championships and three European Championships for Bulgaria.

Mitko developed and ran the boys program for Gymnastics and More for over 15 years and had numerous Regional Champions and National qualifiers. In addition to his athletes accomplishments in the gym, many of his athletes went on to pursue successful collegiate careers at Ohio State, The Naval Academy & The Air Force Academy to name a few.
In 2017, Mitko switched gears and stepped in to run the Girls JO Team Program. In addition to being the head coach for the Levels 4-10 Girls, Mitko also oversees the developmental programs starting with Pre-Team and Level 3 Team.
Mitko is also the Gym Manager and oversees scheduling, staffing the daily operations of all programs in the gym, i.e. classes, tumbling, team, etc.

Mitko resides in Winchester with his wife Teddy, daughter Victoria and enjoys playing golf…. immensely!

Jessica Whitney ("Miss Jess")

Jess has been a member of our Gym & More family for 15 years! She was born and raised in Somerville, where she still resides with her teenage son, Tyler. She attended Arlington Catholic High School and majored in Communications at Framingham State College.

In her free time, Jess enjoys watching Tyler play basketball, watching Hallmark Movies and listening to 80's music while cleaning ! Who doesn't??

She has taught gymnastics for 21 years. Jess is our 'go to' Xcel Bronze Team Coach, while also running the Half Day Programs, Birthday parties and teaching preschool and rec classes.

The most rewarding part of the year for Jess is the end of the year Fabulous Gym Show! The students get to showcase their hard work throughout the year....their smiles, confidence and trophies say it ALL!

Anthony Latorella: Boys Team Head Coach

Anthony "Tony" LaTorella began his coaching career under the tutelage of Mitko. Prior to coaching, Anthony was a competitive Level 10 gymnast for Gym & More attending numerous Invitatationals and Regional Championships.

In 2017 Anthony took on the Head Coaching position for the Boys Team. He coaches all levels and pre-team programs. His passion and dedication to ensuring the best program for all his boys is eminent in his results.

Anthony attends Middlesex Community College and lives in Winchester, MA.

Michele O'Brien

Michele has been coaching over 30 years and joined our Gym & More family in 2013. She is an exceptional teacher/coach and takes a vested interest in all gymnasts! Michele competed for Northeastern University where she earned her degree in Physical Education.

She lives in Concord, MA and has 3 children. When she's not flilpping kids around she enjoys working in her garden....A LOT!

Giovanna "G" Lomartire

Giovanna-a.k.a. "G" started working at Gymnastics and More in September of 2017. Her gymnastics background brings her right back here to her gym....Gym & More! At the age of 5, she started classes at Gym and More and worked her way up to being an awesome Level 9 USA Gymnastics competitive gymnast. When she stopped doing the USAG program, G continued with her gymnastics competing for Stoneham High School for 4 years. "G" coaches the girls Pre Team.

Giovanna attended & graduated from Salem State University in 2017 and earned her degree in Psychology/Social Work. She loos forward to furthering her education.

She lives in Stonham with her full-bred Boxer, "Jessie". She enjoys quiet activities such as arts and crafts, reading and all sorts of puzzles. She also enjoys watching t.v./movies. Overall, she as a true passion for being creative and helpers others succeed!



Taylor Federchook

Taylor started coaching/teaching at Gymnastics and More in 2016. She was a competitive Level 9 USA Gymnastics competitor and qualified to Regional Championships 3 times! She also competed for Billerica High School.


She continued competing for the Club Gymnastics program while getting her under grad degree (BS) from West Virginia University, and then continuing with grad school and competing for Boston University (MS). Taylor works in a laboraory as a scientist when she is not coaching. She also continues doing gymnastics with an adult community group (for fun and to stay active!).


Megan Miranda

Megan started gymnastics when she was in kindergarten right here at Gym and More! She was a successful Level 9 USA Gymnastics competitor accomplishing the highest level of competition, Level 9 Easterns!  Meg started teaching at Gymnastics and More in 2009 when she was in 9th grade!


She studied Psychology at Holy Cross and graduated in 2017. She is now attending grad school at Tufts University where she is studying to be a school psychologist.

Meg lives in Winchester. She played field hockey while attending Holy Cross and enjoys cheering on her sister, Jordan, who competed on the gymnastics team for West Chester University!


We are excited to welcome Emma to the Gym & More Staff! She joined our family in 2018. Emma began taking gymnastics when she was 5 years old and competed for 7 years throughout High School. Emma teaches preschool & rec classes and also coaches the XCEL Teams (All Levels).She currently attends UMASS Lowell as a member of the  Exercise Physiology Program. Emma is from Framingham, MA.
