T-Ball Division Rules

  • Player Eligibility: Players must be 4, 5, or 6 years old as of April 30th of the current playing season. Fall seasons will follow age groupings for the upcoming year.
  • Gameplay and Participation: No official score will be kept. Emphasis is on participation and learning the game. All players will bat once each inning. The tee must be used for all at-bats. Coach-pitch is not permitted at this level. A maximum of three (3) coaches are allowed on the field at any time to ensure players are positioned safely and rotated fairly. Soft “T” balls will be used.
  • Bat Rules: Official Babe Ruth Baseball and Cal Ripken Bat Rules
  • Base Running: Stealing bases is not allowed. On an overthrow, runners may advance only one base at a time. No leading off; runners must remain on the base until the ball is hit.
  • Game Duration: Games shall not exceed 55 minutes to maintain engagement and energy levels for young players.
  • Focus of the Game: Emphasis is on teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun.
