Key Pitching Rules:
- Players may not pitch in multiple games on the same day.
- Once removed from the mound, a pitcher may not return as a pitcher in the same game.
- A player may not pitch in three consecutive games, regardless of rest days.
Example: If a player pitches in Game 1 and Game 2, they cannot pitch in Game 3. They may pitch again in Game 4, if not restricted by rest requirements. - Rest periods are full calendar days, not hours.
Example: Pitch Monday → Rest Tuesday → Rest Wednesday → Available Thursday - Maximum Pitch Exception: If a pitcher reaches the daily max while facing a batter, they may finish pitching to that batter before being removed.
- Violations: Any violation of pitching rules results in forfeit of the game.
Exception: Withdrawal of an ineligible pitcher after being announced or after a warm-up pitch, but before pitching to a batter, is not a violation.
