Team History
Subscribe to our NewsletterTick Racing Team, formally known as Tick Motorsports was founded in 2002 by Sabrina Brandonburg. The team began by racing go-karts at Sugar River Raceway in Brodhead Wisconsin. By the end of the 2002 season, we had put together 30 wins, out of the 48 races that the team entered. This gave the team, and driver a first championship. At the end of the year, the team began racing in the ABA in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. (November 2, 2002) By the end of the ABA season, the team driver, (The Tornado) had finished 165th in the WI02 district point standings.
The team again raced at Sugar River Raceway in 2003, winning another 26 races out of the 30 total events. We also raced in the ABA at Elkhorn again, this time finishing in the 141st place in district points.
In the spring of 2004, the team moved to Sebring Florida to race at Oldsmar BMX, but the team moved again in the fall to Missouri, racing Friday nights at Jackson BMX in Jackson Tennessee.
The team closed from 2008 until 2010 due to financial issues, and when it reopened, it was under new ownership. (Emily Wallace) The team did well, but closed again at the end of the 2012 season. The team was again re-opened in 2013, and once again under new management, and ownership. (Holly Tyler) The team remains under her ownership, with her, and her husband Justin as the team's management.
