The Umpire of the Year Awards were established in 2013 intended to recognize the valuable contributions these youth umpires make towards the success of LWF Minor Baseball.

Although their work may not always be appreciated by those who are on the wrong end of close calls, these young person’s aspire to do their best to ensure that the game is played in a fair and consistent manner. They work hard to learn the rules of the game and on a more impressive note they also have to learn how to deal with everyone they may come into contact with during the course of play.

LWF Baseball Association is very proud to have such a strong committed group of youth umpires that work our games. We have received numerous compliments with regards to experience they have had with our group and this is as much a tribute to their command and professionalism as it is to their character and personal growth as contributing members of our baseball community. Please take the time to thank our youth officials after every game!
